Victoria

Victoria is one of seven sweet pied Cockatiels surrendered to MAARS by a small local breeder who had more birds than she could sell. When the seven arrived in 2001, MAARSians dubbed them the "Toeless Tiels" because each of them came in missing several toes due to repeated attacks from a larger bird. The breeder kept five other Cockatiels that she wanted to continue breeding.

Victoria loves to be out of her cage and is a strong flier who spends her days visiting with her siblings and other cockatiel friends at The Landing. She can almost always be found perched atop a neighboring cage, enjoying the company of her favorite flockmates, or looking out the front window while sitting on a large manzanita branch suspended from the ceiling. She is very independent and prefers to be surrounded by the MAARS avian flock — rather than the human one — and MAARSians make sure she has every opportunity to do so.
